GCC Wrestling well represented at OHSAA Team Duals

This past week the Greater Cleveland Conference was well represented at the OHSAA Dual Team Wrestling State Tournament. The GCC was represented in the State Finals by the Elyria wrestling team!

The Elyria Wrestling team was 7-0 in the GCC this year.

Road to the State Final:

OHSAA Regional Quarterfinal beat Bowling Green 66-11
OHSAA Regional Semifinal beat Ashland 60-12
OHSAA Regional Final beat Oregon Clay 56-15
OHSAA State Quarterfinal beat Upper Arlington 62-12
OHSAA State Semifinal beat Brecksville Broadview Heights 33-29

The Pioneers ended their season with a loss to St. Edward High School in the OHSAA State Finals by a score of 36-30. The Pioneers look to bounce back as the OHSAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament starts later this month. Go Pioneers!
