GREATER‌ ‌CLEVELAND‌ ‌CONFERENCE‌ TICKETING‌ ‌POLICY‌ ‌-‌ ‌FALL‌ ‌2020‌

Following the ODH order issued on August 19, 2020 the Greater Cleveland Conference (GCC) will follow the protocols below regarding spectator attendance and ticketing guidelines for the Fall of 2020 in the sports of football, soccer, and volleyball.  The guidelines below are meant to provide every student athlete the ability to have their immediate family be able to watch them compete this fall. With a variety of facilities in our league, there are bound to be variances in availability of tickets based on the venue.

Varsity Football:

  1. All tickets for varsity football will be sold by the participating schools in a pre-sale format (there will be no sale of tickets at gates for varsity football).
  2. All tickets will be sold at the general admission price of $7.
  3. The home school will allocate four (4) tickets for every varsity football player (maximum 60), varsity cheerleader, and marching band member (this may vary at some schools based on capacity restrictions).
  4. The visiting school will be allocated a minimum of One-Hundred Sixty (160) tickets to be sold to immediate family members of varsity football players (maximum 60) and varsity cheerleaders (Note: marching bands will not be traveling to away contests).
    1. Some member school’s facilities will allow for the visiting allocation to be slightly higher (the visiting school will determine how to appropriately allocate the extra tickets amongst their players for immediate family).

JV/Freshman Football:

  1. The home school will allocate four (4) tickets for every player (maximum 60) and cheerleader.
  2. The visiting school will be allocated four (4) tickets for every player (maximum 60) and cheerleaders.

Soccer:

  1. The home school will allocate four (4) tickets for every soccer player (maximum 22)
  2. The visiting school will be allocated four (4) tickets for every soccer player (maximum 22).

Volleyball:

  1. The home school will allocate four (4) tickets for every volleyball player (maximum 15).
  2. The visiting school will be allocated two (2) tickets for every volleyball player (maximum 15).
    1. Some member school’s facilities will allow for the visiting allocation to be slightly higher (the visiting school will determine how to appropriately allocate the extra tickets amongst their players for immediate family).
    2. Some member school’s who play freshmen volleyball in an auxiliary gymnasium may need to limit ticket allocation beyond what is listed above.
    3. Some member school’s will be required to clear their gymnasium between matches to meet spectator guidelines.

Middle School Sports:

  1. Because of the various middle school athletic facilities utilized, middle school programs will try to follow the above guidelines to the best of their abilities and communicate ticket allotments to opponents in a timely manner.

Greater Cleveland Conference Passes:

  1. As member schools of the GCC, each school is allocated an equal number of conference passes to be used at the discretion of the individual schools.  Schools are asked to carefully distribute these given current spectator limitations (Note: a maximum of twenty (20) GCC passes will be accepted at any given event.
  2. GCC passes admit one (1) individual.

Senior Citizen Admission:

  1. Due to the unique and challenging requirements sites face in managing spectator capacity, the GCC will not be able to offer free admission to senior citizens during the 2020 fall seasons, however senior citizens (65+) who are part of player’s family purchasing a ticket with the player allocation may purchase a ticket at the student rate of $5 Varsity/JV events & $2 Freshman/Middle School (JV stand alone) events (Note: all tickets for varsity football are $7).

Faculty & Student Passes:

  1. Due to the unique and challenging requirements sites face in managing spectator capacity, the GCC will not be able to honor faculty passes or student passes during the 2020 fall seasons.

Live Streaming Options:

  1. In light of the spectator restrictions, many schools have partnered with live streaming suppliers so fans who may not have the ability to attend in person, may still have the ability to watch online.  Please contact your individual school’s athletic department for information on potential live streaming options for your school.
