Greater Cleveland Conference January Athletes Of The Month

The Greater Cleveland Conference has a new program to recognize outstanding monthly performances by our GCC Athletes. Athletic Directors from the Greater Cleveland Conference will nominate student athletes from their school based on their monthly performances and accomplishments.

GCC January Athletes Of The Month

Brooke is a team captain and leader both in practice and on the competition floor. She helped lead the Mustangs to a 3rd place finish at the regular season GCC Invitational and placed in the top ten on vault, beam (4th), floor, and in the all-around. At the Anderson Invitational, she again helped the team place third out of 32 and finished 3rd on vault with a 9.1, 4th on floor with a 9.46, and 13th in the all-around out of more than 200 athletes.
This past month Anthony earned his 100th career victory!
Sophia has led numerous rallies as the 6th Man for our Conference Champs. Extremely coachable and a true team player.
Nick is 7-0 in Dual meets in January, Champion at Audrey Genovese Memorial Tournament, and was Runner-up at Maumee Bay Classic
Ari has led the Mentor gymnastics team on vault being their high scorer every single meet with a personal record high at GCC league meet of 8.75. She has also consistently placed on the beam for the team!
Nick is currently 21-3 with 8 pins. He is ranked 18th in the state. He was 10- 0 at the Ashland Crestview Duals. Runner up at the Ashland Holiday tournament, and Runner up at Perry Pin City!
Olivia is averaging 12.9 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks this season. She set a new program record for total varsity points in a season as a freshman breaking the old record set by Sarah McKee. She currently has 268 points on the season!
Brayden completed an undefeated dual meet regular season in his individual events. He is the 2022 GCC Champion in the 200 and 500 free. While at the GCC meet he set a new school record in the 200 free!
Erin is a senior leader on the Panthers basketball team. She works hard all year round on her game and is truly dedicated to the team. She deserves recognition for everything she has given to the Euclid Lady Panther Basketball program!
Since rejoining the lineup in January, Camari has been a key player during the Panthers three game winning streak. He affects the game defensively and has been a facilitator for the offense!
This past month at the GCC Championship Meet #1, Bree finished in 1st place in the All-Around Competition with a score of 37.100! She also had 1st place finishes on Balance Beam and Floor!
With wins over Avon, Medina, Euclid, and Lincoln West in the month of January Brayden averaged 24.8 points per game. His point totals for each game included, 27 vs. Avon, 33 vs. Medina, 20 and 22 vs. Euclid, and 22 vs. Lincoln West.
