Greater Cleveland Conference May Athletes Of The Month

The Greater Cleveland Conference has a new program to recognize outstanding monthly performances by our GCC Athletes. Athletic Directors from the Greater Cleveland Conference will nominate student athletes from their school based on their monthly performances and accomplishments.

Aidan leads the Panthers in hitting with a .297 on the year and a .350 OBP. He also has 14 stolen bases on the season. He also has a 3.55 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .216 batting average as he averages over 1 strikeout per inning. Aidan is continuing his athletic career as he will attend Edinboro University and join the football team as a kicker!
Eve is the 2022 GCC Champion in the 100m and the 200m dash. She is also a key member of the Panthers highly ranked 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams!
Nick finished in 7th Place in the Shot Put at the OHSAA Division I State Meet in Columbus to earn All-Ohio honors. He was the runner-up at the OHSAA Division I Regional Meet at Findlay High School and the OHSAA Division I District Meet at Brunswick High School. He also earned All-Greater Cleveland Conference honors.
The 4×800 Meter Relay team claimed the Division I Championship at the OHSAA State Meet. The team included Rachel Smith, Mia Heine, Jenna Razavi, and Kayla Kutcel. It was the school’s first state crown since 2012 when it won the same race at the same site. The girls completed a perfect postseason as they also finished in 1st Place at the Findlay Regional and the Brunswick District!
At the GCC meet Kenny finished 4th in the 100, 2nd in the 200, 1st place in the 4×200, and 1st place in the 4×400!
Savannah was named GCC Track Athlete of the Year. At the GCC meet, she was a member of the 3rd place 4×400 team, she won the 800 and 1600 and was on the winning 4×800 team!
Chase had a strong season in both the Shot and Discus. He finished his career with a 7th Place finish in the Discus at the State Meet.
Morgan has been a three-year letter winner on our Track Team. She finished 5th in the 300 Hurdles at the State Meet and anchored the Comets State Runner-Up 4×400 Relay Team!
Through the month of May, Vinci has gotten very confident in his offensive play and has become the leader of the Mustang offense. In the Mustangs 4 games in May Vinci had 16 goals, and 1 assist. With only being a sophomore Vinci has shown big improvements and confidence in his game.
