GCC December Athletes Of The Month

The Greater Cleveland Conference has a new program to recognize outstanding monthly performances by our GCC Athletes. Athletic Directors from the Greater Cleveland Conference will nominate student athletes from their school based on their monthly performances and accomplishments.

Lea: In the month of December Lea averaged 10 points, 8.25 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game! Tommy: In the month of December Tommy averaged 15.1 points, 7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game!
Kaitlin currently holds the team record in the 50 freestyle (31.37) and 100 backstroke (1:26.72). Her perseverance, dedication, and versatility make her a valuable asset to the team. She also has a 4.33 GPA. Corey displays leadership qualities on and off the mat. He has placed in the top 4 in the last three tournaments in the 144 lbs weight class. He is currently undefeated in dual meet match-ups, including going 5-0 at the “Cat Classic” at Cleveland Heights.
Olivia is averaging 14.3 points per game this season. During the month of December, she averaged 12.9 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 2.5 steals per game, and 1 block per game. Brayden broke the Medina school record in the 100 Free, the 200 Free, and the 100 Backstroke at the Jim Stacy Invitational. He helped the team finish 3rd overall and was the high point winner for all of the boys that competed. Brayden also broke the Medina school record and pool record in the 100 Fly at a dual meet with Copley.
Dlorrah currently holds a 5-4 record with 3 pins. She finished 4th overall at the Findley FIGHT tournament in the heavyweight class in her 1st year of wrestling! Matt: During the Month of December Matt averaged 20 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game and 6.1 assists per game.
Niya has begun her senior year with top 3 finishes at the Jim Stacy Winter Championships in both the 200 Individual Medley and 400 Freestyle Relay. Rayquan has started off his senior year with 41 and 27 point efforts in the Comets first 2 GCC games.
Taylor: In the month of December, Taylor scored her 1,000th career point! Justin earned MVP honors at the KSA Florida basketball tournament!
