The Greater Cleveland Conference has a new program to recognize outstanding monthly performances by our GCC Athletes. Athletic Directors from the Greater Cleveland Conference will nominate student athletes from their school based on their monthly performances and accomplishments.

In the month of August Brooke had 15 goals and 5 assists!

Leads the team in hitting percentage, total blocks, and aces. Second in kills and kills per set. Leads the conference in hitting percentage, serving aces, and total blocks.
Big game vs Massillon Perry. Opened the game with a 76-yard touchdown run.
Olivia Sipsock scored 5 goals in the first 3 games of the season, including a hat trick against Wadsworth. She is a returning All-American and is committed to playing at Eastern Michigan.
Danny has thrown for 926 yards and 10 touchdowns in only 2 games this season. He has completed 64-of-89 passes for a completion percentage of 72%. He broke the Medina County single game record for passing yardage (621) and tied for touchdown passes (6) during Week 2 at Avon. He is now 6th all-time in OHSAA history for yards passing in a single game.
Olivia had a team best score at the first GCC Tournament match and is averaging a 47 per nine holes.
Louis is Mentor’s best player and he proved it this month. Louis has scored in every match and tournament for the Cardinals this year and has a startling low round of 32 this Fall. Louis has placed in the top 10 in 3 tournaments this year with a low round of 76. Louis leads his team by example and his hard work is paying off.
Sarah is 4 year member of our Cross Country team and one of our captains. She has been our top runner this season and a true leader with her positive attitude.
James is a 4 year member of our Cross Country team. He has finished in 6th place in the OHSAA Preseason Invitational and as the Champion at the Mentor Cross Country Invitational!
Guzic went 11-1 during the month of August primarily at second singles where she has recorded five wins by a score of 6-0,6-0. Additionally, she is 1-0 at first singles, defeating Wooster’s district qualifier Ava Mathur to clinch a 3-2 team victory. At the Medina Doubles Tournament, Guzic teamed up with Bhavya Anoop to take third place in the first doubles bracket as they defeated Wadsworth 6-0,6-1 and Mentor 6-1,6-3 and fell to Highland.
Brandon has an amazing 6 goals in 3 games. We are currently unbeaten with 2 wins (Olmsted Falls, St. Charles Prep), and one draw (Avon).
