Greater Cleveland Conference March Athletes Of The Month

The Greater Cleveland Conference has a new program to recognize outstanding monthly performances by our GCC Athletes. Athletic Directors from the Greater Cleveland Conference will nominate student athletes from their school based on their monthly performances and accomplishments.

GCC March Athletes Of The Month

John was named captain for the mustang defense and has lived up to this role. He has been the leader and communicator for the defense and has been matching up against our opponent’s best attackman. During the mustangs, 6 games in March John had 24 ground balls, and 13 caused turnovers. That is an average of 4 ground balls and just over 2 caused turnovers per game.
Tori has helped lead the Mustangs to an 8-1 record and a state ranking! So far on the season, she has 13 goals, 4 assists, and 17 points!
Jakob is a 4-year letter winner for the SolonTrack program. He has begun this season with PRs in both the Shot and Discus while helping his team to wins in the Avon Lake and Medina Invitationals!
Ella has been one of our leading scorers this season highlighted by 12 goals vs Green. Her aggressiveness and effort has helped the comets team to a strong start this season.
Antonio was district champion at the North Canton Hoover District and then placed 6th at the state tournament!
Hailey was a member of the cardinals league and sectional champion bowling team that advanced to the state tournament. At the state tournament, she was named to the All Ohio Honorable Mention team.
Matt qualified for the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships in the 175 pound weight class. He earned All-Greater Cleveland Conference Team honors by finishing undefeated in the league. He finished with a 44-10 overall record on the season.
Abby helped the Bees to victory in their season opener over Worthington Kilbourne with 4 goals and one assist.
Alex was Champion in the 3200 and Distance Medley Relay at Avon Lake Invitational!
At the OATCCC D1 Indoor State Meet Maddy finished in first place in the Girls Weight Throw with a throw of 49-02.00!
